Spot-on, as always.

Definitely the fox guarding the hen house! I hate AI as it relates to any creative field ... hate it. But your chart is excellent, because without our consent, sometimes without our knowledge, AI is already there running on our computers, and a simple Google search now involves the use of AI (even if you have turned the AI settings off). So we're all somewhere on that chart, willingly or not. It's also a major problem that AI was trained on millions of works of human authors (without their consent in most instances - THEFT), so many writers will be dinged by the AI-AI Detector tools because the AI was trained on human writing (perhaps their very own) in the first place. The biggest issue surrounding all this is the AI/AI detection paradigm being one more tool for the oppression of anyone who doesn't happen to be a white man.

What is also quite ironic is that they use AI to scope out AI.

Vanessa. This article is excellent. Authors are up against so much, especially authors of color. Your tips I will definitely put to immediate use. I must be more purposeful in organizing my research. Sigh. Thanks again!
